CUSTOMS ACCOUNTING 2000 For CADEX and ACROSS

Canada Customs Multi-purpose Bond
Release of Goods Bond & Acceptance of Uncertified Cheques
Reference: D1-7-1

In order to take advantage of CADEX and ACROSS, importers require their own security account number with Revenue Canada Customs & Excise. This security account is issued when a bond is posted with Revenue Canada. Bonds are available from a variety of financial institutions including chartered banks and insurance companies. Annual fees are usually in the range of $5.00 per 1,000.00 of bond with a minimum around $250.00. The financial institution may require financial statements before granting the bond.

An alternative to using a bond is to provide a refundable cash deposit to the Receiver General for Canada of not less than $250.00 for one port and not less than $5000.00 to cover all ports.

The security account number is hard coded into each copy of CUSTOMS ACCOUNTING 2000 by Clerkware Canada Inc..

Before the installation of CUSTOMS ACCOUNTING 2000 can take place, Clerkware Canada Inc. requires that the Importer provide their security account number so that the hard coding can be performed.

Each copy of CUSTOMS ACCOUNTING 2000 is identified by the security account number. If your security account number changes, a new copy will be issued on request.
